Asset Management Analyst - Software (SAM) - FTR - TeleworkReq ID: 69101Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, CanadaSalary: CAD 82,709.71Purpose of PositionThe Software Asset Management Analyst is responsible for tracking software license entitlements in the Asset Database, monitoring application usage to identify opportunities for removal of unused software, and managing software license compliance. The software entitlement data captured from vendor purchase reports and enterprise agreement reconciliation will be leveraged to configure and update license counters, providing accurate license compliance reporting. The role requires detailed knowledge of various software license models and product use rights for major publishers. The position deals with client enquiries and provides a variety of internal and customer reports as required. Service level requirements and objectives must be met.AccountabilitiesMonitors hardware and software inventory for all client computer assets.Updates and maintains records in the Asset Database from initial data capture through asset disposal.Records and tracks hardware and software acquisitions, installations, replacements, upgrades, moves, transfers, storage, disposal, theft, and warranty replacements.Creates, updates, tracks, monitors, and maintains software licenses in the asset management database; monitors application usage and reports compliance.Highlights opportunities to target unused or restricted software for reclamation.Analyzes client contracts and major publisher license terms (Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Autodesk, etc.) to establish risk areas and software license compliance positions.Has experience in license optimization and re-harvesting.Interacts directly with clients and internal/external sources to obtain required data and documents in consistent form and within project objectives and deadlines.Assesses data accuracy and follows up with clients to resolve licensing anomalies.Ensures quality and timely delivery of customer requirements.QualificationsMinimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role.1+ year of end‑to‑end software license lifecycle experience, including knowledge of end‑user licenses for vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, Autodesk, etc.Strong Excel and dashboard skills.Experience with industry‑leading SAM tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow‑SAM Pro, or SNOW.Financial ResponsibilityNo financial responsibility.Direct SupervisionNo supervisory responsibility.Project/Team Leadership or TrainingNo team lead/training responsibilities.Equal Opportunity EmployerNTT DATA Services is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, gender, disability, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other class protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
