If you’re ready to put your skills to work on projects that matter and build a career with a company that’s building North America, we want to hear from you About The Role The Procurement Specialist is responsible for implementing procurement strategies for the Southwest (ACM) businesses under the leadership of the Senior Procurement Manager for Central Canada and in close cooperation with the GTA procurement manager and Category Managers and Business leaders on a local level. The Procurement Specialist will coordinate the operational and tactical procurement of local goods and services. What You’ll Accomplish Support the operational and tactical procurement of goods and services categories in accordance with category strategy, applicable policies, procedures and specifications. Launch RFQs and support local businesses with goods and services required for operation. Identify saving opportunities and initiate individual projects and initiatives at all operational levels. Responsible for low to medium levels of spend and negotiate local volumes, processes, quality levels and prices. Direct business lines towards improved operational discipline in procurement processes (Buyways, eCatalogs, Pcard Policy and others). Drive for efficiency and simplification of processes along with the Canada Process and Performance management team, the Canada Project and Development team, and American Business Service Centre (ABS) regarding automation and digital transformation. Ensure the implementation and tracking of performance indicators and achieved results. Provide regular reports and updates to local, regional and/or global governing bodies (councils) as required. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas; promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours. What We’re Looking For Education: University Degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Two to five years in a procurement role (buyer, sourcing, operations) with exposure to supply chain management, strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes and standards, or equivalent experience. Technical Skills: Microsoft Office, SAP, Ariba. Soft Skills: Integrity and Team Player. Travel Requirements: 10%. Additional Requirements Experience in aggregates, concrete or heavy industrial setting is an asset. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
