A global manufacturer is looking for procurement and sourcing specialist to join this expanding team in Mississauga. You will be purchasing, sourcing and analysing in accordance with company processes and procedures to keep manufacturing schedules on target.

**Duties**
- Purchase materials, source new suppliers, and analyze MRP, sales forecasts and actual sales.
- Use MRP/Stock Overview to create purchase orders, plan and issue work orders to production.
- Set up items, vendors and BOMS in the ERP system and verify accuracy of data across functions.
- Arrange weekly production meetings and present current sales, stock and production planning.
- Send RFI/RFQs to approved and potential vendors for new and existing products and negotiate rates/delivery times according to requirements.
- Communicate with vendors on delivery timelines, logistics and product quality matters.
- Maintain vendor data in Quality Management System (QMS) and manage non-conformance and corrective actions related to vendors through QMS software (QT9).
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives in inventory management, production planning, procurement planning and related processes.
- Analyze vendors’ performance continuously and generate evaluations annually or as per management’s request.
- Maintain KPIs and present in the monthly meetings and management reviews as required.
- Arrange weekly production meetings and present current sales, stock and production planning.

**Requirements**:

- Supply Chain, Business Administration or related diploma, professional certification or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years’ experience in corporate buyer / procurement role
- Technical knowledge of procurement policies and procedures, contracts types, and negotiation skills and experience required
- Working knowledge of various sourcing methodologies and procedures
- Motivated and have a strong desire to pursue a career in Procurement/Supply Chain
- Previous experience of procurement for a manufacturing company
- Proficient mathematical skills
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Solid attention to detail with consistent follow-through
- Effective communications skills
- Ability to prioritise and execute tasks effectively
- Very good organisational skills, including multi-tasking and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Aptitude for learning and adhering to existing standardised policies, processes and procedures
