We are seeking a creative, dynamic, committed educator to join the: 2025/2026 Black Youth Forum Course: An Experiential Learning Journey Overview The Black Youth Program offers Reach Ahead courses in the following subjects: IDC3O, IDC4O or IDC4U. The course will be conducted virtually with the possibility of in‑person sessions in the second semester at 440 Albert Street on Tuesday evenings, from November 4, 2025, to May 26, 2026 (26 evenings – no classes on January 27). In addition, staff and students may be required to attend sessions outside of this time frame, including the Black Youth Forum (date TBD). Each session is 3.85 instructional hours. Teachers must be prepared to deliver the assigned credit through a predetermined schedule. Please note, as per the most recent collective agreement, article 40.02 c: in the event that the Employer cancels two (2) or more days/evenings of Continuing Education courses as a result of unforeseen circumstances beyond its control, Continuing Education teachers will be required to attend and teach a make‑up day. Pay rate: $56.84 /hour + 4% vacation pay Qualifications Applicants must identify as a member of the African, Black and/or African‑Caribbean communities and can demonstrate a shared lived experience, as they will be uniquely placed to deliver the curriculum and support the goals and needs of the program. Applicants MUST hold Intermediate & Senior qualifications with the Ontario College of Teachers (in good standing) at the time of application. Eligibility Subject to the essential requirement above, all teachers (with or without Continuing Education (CE) seniority) can apply to this posting. Order of Consideration Teachers with CE seniority who appear on the October 2025 Continuing Education Seniority List with applicable qualifications, including identification as a member of the historically disadvantaged group with shared lived experience, are encouraged to apply and will be granted an interview. If the position remains unfilled, teachers not on the October 2025 Continuing Education Seniority List may be offered an interview in accordance with the requirements and OCT qualifications outlined in this job posting and in accordance with Policy P.146.HR Equitable Recruitment, Hiring and Promotion.
