OverviewFaculty Member, Law: Tenure Track. The College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan seeks to hire one tenure-track position. Appointment may be at the rank of Assistant Professor; the College may recruit established scholars at the Associate level with a significant and ongoing program of research. The appointment is expected to commence July 1, 2026.The College emphasizes a teacher-scholar model with high-quality teaching and engagement with students in the classroom. There are opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with other units on campus and with centers such as the Indigenous Law Centre and CREATE Justice.ResponsibilitiesTeach in the candidate's area of specialization and in a major compulsory subject and/or the first-year program.Engage in high-quality teaching and student mentorship; participate in experiential learning opportunities.Develop and sustain an active research program; contribute to interdisciplinary collaborations within the College and across campus.Participate in service roles, committee work, and development of the College’s programs and initiatives.QualificationsRequired: LL.M., Ph.D. in Law, or comparable advanced degree.Demonstrated potential for or record of scholarly research and publication.Ability to teach law courses and contribute to the first-year program; willingness to teach a major compulsory subject.Indigenous membership/citizenship verification as applicable; applicants from Indigenous communities are encouraged to apply.Evidence of or potential for collegial, collaborative engagement within a large research university environment.Indigenous Collaboration and VerificationThe University of Saskatchewan values Indigenous perspectives and is committed to Indigenous engagement.
