Inventory Analyst

OverviewGillfor Distribution is seeking a full-time, highly motivated and experienced Inventory Analyst for our Head Office in Bolton, Ontario. The Inventory Analyst is a key support role working with the leadership team and Division Managers to optimize inventory allocation, replenishment methods, forecast accuracy and to measure and continuously improve inventory-related KPIs.This position reports to the VP of Strategic Development and works within a small, focused team setting. It requires a self-driven, strategic thinker who can work autonomously within a team-based culture, with strong business acumen and experience in inventory management, warehouse distribution and/or operations. The role may require occasional travel, including overnight stays as needed.Note: This description reflects the information provided and is not an offer or guarantee of employment.ResponsibilitiesWork within the parameters and budget provided by the executive team to create inventory strategies that optimize the profitability of each product line.Support the VP of Strategic Development and VP of Sales and Operations with critical insights.Conduct in-depth analysis and provide actionable recommendations.Interface directly with branches, utilizing feedback to drive forecasting and inventory guidance.Develop sustainable replenishment methods for branches across multiple product lines.Provide insights to the National Programs Director on vendor improvements for optimizing inventories.Develop and track Key Performance Indicators in inventory, replenishment and turns.Collect and utilize feedback to continuously improve defined KPIs.Perform various project-based tasks as assigned.Establish, develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.Key QualificationsAdvanced computerized data-driven platforms experienceStrong attention to detailCourses in Purchasing ManagementFamiliarity and knowledge of the building supply industry is a strong assetValid Driver’s License (travel may be required)Self-motivated and deadline-driven with an overall focus on key objectivesExcellent communication skillsHigh degree of business acumen and professional demeanorPrioritization, time management and organizational skillsStrong problem identification and creative problem-solving skillsAbility to adhere to all Health & Safety policies and proceduresEstablish, develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors & internal stakeholdersWorking ConditionsFull-time position, Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pmGroup Benefit and RRSP PlansOpportunities for advancement within the companyCompensation: Wage Plus Bonus PotentialNew RoleAbout Gillfor DistributionGillfor Distribution is a 100% Canadian owned and operated company with 13 locations across Canada.
