We are a thriving Second-Hand Retail Store that specializes in a wide range of interesting items, from electronics and tools, to musical instruments, gaming systems and jewellery. Our store is a treasure trove for smart shoppers and collectors alike. We're looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sales Associate to join our team, someone who loves working with a diverse range of products and interacting with customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Service - Greet and assist customers in the store, helping them find specific items, providing product information, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Product knowledge - Stay well-informed about electronics, tools, musical instruments, gaming systems, and jewellery to effectively assist customers and answer their questions.

Sales - Drive sales through excellent customer service, product knowledge, and up-selling techniques.

Inventory Management- Help with the organization, pricing, and stocking of items, ensuring that the store is always well-presented and inventory accurately managed.

Online Sales- Post and manage listings on Kijiji, eBay, Instagram and other online platforms. Ensure items are accurately described, priced competitively, and attractively presented to drive online sales.

Marketing- Assist in creating and posting engaging content on social media platforms to promote store items and attract new and existing customers.

Cash Handling- Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and balance the till daily

Problem Solving- Address and resolve customer inquiries or complaints in a professional and timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 2 years experience in retail, with a strong focus on customer service and sales.

Knowledge and interest in electronics, tools, musical instruments, game systems, jewellery and other items we may deal in.

Experience with online sales platforms such as Kijiji, eBay, and Instagram.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Tech-savvy with a basic understanding of social media marketing.

*Ability to commute to our second location in Oshawa from time to time highly valued.*
