Recently CANSINO Trading & Management partnered up with a mineral and materials processing laboratory and engineering firm to develop a proprietary technology, which will revolutionize its industry and offer great benefits to the environment.

As part of the project, CANSINO is seeking an Accounting and Budget Technician to perform the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Accounting responsibilities:

  • Maintain a complete set of financial record for the project using QuickBooks, including project specific purchases, payroll and operation costs
  • Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, issue invoices, receipts
  • Report financial status to Project Manager periodically
  • Provide financial reports and forecasts for funding applications and reports
  • Manage private investments and shareholder loans according to agreements
  • Manage petty cash

Budget responsibilities:

  1. Manage the overall project budget
  2. Collaborate with Project Manager to plan the itemized project budget and ensure the budget is strictly enforced
  3. Based on project funding availability and under the supervision of the Project Manager, adjust project budget from time to time
  4. Based on historical spending trends, forecast future budget needs
  5. Other tasks may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

Completion of Collage Diploma is required, Bachelor Degree is strongly preferred

Minimum 5 years of related work experience is required

Accounting designation is an asset

Ability to manage budget and provide financial forecast is essential

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), QuickBooks and other accounting tools

The ability to work well both independently and in a team environment, by creating a positive working atmosphere, and supporting each other to combine individual strengths to enhance team performance support

Excellent judgement and strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities

Effective communication skills

Ability to keep confidential information is critical
