About the Opportunity

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Manager and Director of Finance in developing and maintaining Nova Scotia Health's financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial modeling.

This position is essential in driving insights that support Nova Scotia Health's mission, values, and commitment to high-quality, provincially integrated health services.

The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with other team members, operational leaders, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis in alignment with organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate in the preparation and maintenance of the annual operating budget.
  • Support the monthly consolidation of financial forecasts by preparing and analyzing data models.
  • Work with the Manager, Director, and Nova Scotia Health leaders to develop multi-year operating forecasts.
  • Manage large data sets to support forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Participate in initiatives to enhance financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and a minimum of five years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or forecasting.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience managing large data sets, and excellent communication skills. They will also have the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary range of $37.61 - $47.01 hourly.
