  • Manage customer portfolio (regional distributors and direct accounts), forecasting and projects.
  • Coordinate sales activities in the area.
  • Initiate customer projects on a technical basis.
  • Attend trade shows and expos, workshops, distributor training and market/industry conventions.
  • Increase sales by acquiring and focusing on potential new accounts and upselling established accounts based on a vigorous deployment program.
  • Ensure that established clients are satisfied and build new relationships with future prospective clients.
  • Provide on-site service and support with established and new clients.
  • Demonstrate and educate clients on usage of new products.
  • Quote prices, credit terms and prepare new sales contracts.
  • Prepare sales budgets for designated territories.
  • Ensure that territory margins and sales goals are met.
  • Prepare reports of monthly sales highlights, opportunity grids, etc.
  • Stay informed about new products, applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertisement and promotional trends through literature, internet and by consulting with technical services.
  • Participate in trade shows and educational seminars offered by customers.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Competencies Needed for Success:

5+ years of relevant Sales experience with Ingredients and/or food processing manufacturers. Food preservation / shelf-life extension experience ideal.

Bachelor's degree. Food Science, Biology or related discipline preferred.
