Job Purpose: The Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting assigned audit engagements, applying risk and control concepts to identify any potential issues, and ensuring that concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner by communicating with the Internal Audit Manager. The role exists to safeguard the organization’s operations through effective risk assessments and internal audits.


Key Job Functions:

  1. Conduct assigned audit engagements successfully from beginning to end, ensuring adherence to professional standards.
  2. Evaluate compliance with organizational policies and procedures and document audit findings comprehensively.
  3. Perform internal audit tests, identify situations that may impact business performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  4. Conduct risk assessments and assess the effectiveness of internal controls in business processes.
  5. Support daily activities of auditors assigned to assist with audit projects and provide guidance where needed.
  6. Conduct interviews with representatives of audited areas to gather necessary information.
  7. Discuss and validate observations and findings with senior management and process owners to ensure agreement on audit conclusions.

Skills And Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 2-4 years of audit experience required.
  2. Ability to observe, understand, and document business processes accurately.
  3. Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  5. Experience with SAP, data analytics, and tools such as ACL or TeamMate is desirable.
  6. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  7. Bilingual in English and French is desirable (but not required).
  8. Relevant certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE) are an asset but not required.
  9. Technical expertise in auditing, finance, and operations is a plus.

This role requires the ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (up to 30%), sometimes for extended periods of 2 to 3 weeks.
