Associate Dean - Nipissing University, School of Business

With the development of a new Strategic Plan, Nipissing University invites applications for the position of Associate Dean, School of Business. The School of Business at Nipissing University is highly regarded for its innovative curriculum and the strong support from its Ph.D. trained faculty. The School is known for its rigorous program offerings, including co-op options and post-baccalaureate diplomas, coupled with high student satisfaction and effective online and on-campus course delivery.

Reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Education and Professional Studies, the Associate Dean, School of Business is a key member of the University’s management team and plays a pivotal leadership role in the development of programming offered by the School. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the School of Business programs, including interdisciplinary offerings across the University.

The new Associate Dean will provide strategic academic leadership for all programs in the School of Business and will support the Dean in the development and achievement of academic goals and objectives. The Associate Dean will be committed to Truth and Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion which will be evident in all aspects of their leadership style, decision-making, and interactions.

To fill the role of Associate Dean, School of Business, Nipissing University is seeking an established scholar and intellectual leader with excellent administrative and interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide energetic and dynamic leadership. The new Associate Dean will promote innovative research and teaching across all programs, will promote the Faculty inside and outside the university, and will foster and develop partnerships to meet the educational, research and innovation agenda of the University and the North Bay region.

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a doctoral degree in Business or another closely related field along with at least five years of progressively responsible management experience in a university environment. The ideal candidate will have a record of progressive administrative responsibility in a university setting, with superior analytical, organizational, managerial, and leadership skills, with the ability to see the bigger picture for the long-term benefit of the School and the University.
