Polycorp Ltd. is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of engineered polymer products that serves a global customer base in the Transportation, Mining and Protective Linings industries. The Mining Division has a proven history of supplying technical materials to support mining projects globally. We are currently seeking a full-time Western Canada Account Manager to support our growth in this division.

Position Summary:

You will be responsible for selling our Mining and Mineral Processing products to our current customers and growing this customer base by developing new relationships and chasing projects within Canada. We are seeking a strong Account Manager situated in the lower mainland or interior of British Columbia. The role will focus on developing customer base in BC, Yukon, Manitoba, Northwest Ontario, and Eastern Canada. This person will support and sustain current and new business by providing excellent customer maintenance on site as required. Additional mandate will be to drive sales growth for our Ball and SAG Mill Liner within the mining/mineral processing industry.

Key Responsibilities of this Role:

Cultivate and expand relationships with existing and potential customers to drive sales and profitability. Support Polycorp products at mine sites during installation and routine inspections. Educate customers on the superior quality of the products we manufacture, as well as the capacities and capabilities of Polycorp. Address customer concerns related to product quality, delivery schedules, productivity, or design issues, liaising with technical and manufacturing staff for continuous improvement. Develop quotes, proposals, and responses to customer inquiries while prospecting for new accounts aligned with our growth strategy. Support the company's presence at trade shows, technical seminars, and industry events. Ensure customer inquiries are processed accurately, promptly, and according to our contract review procedure. Hands on construction job site visits to provide key feedback for the division. Receive and respond to customer, and intercompany inquiries both written and verbal, promptly and in a professional manner. All other duties as required.

Skills & Experience:

A university degree or college diploma in business or in a related field with a specialization in sales Proven success in building new customer relationships and driving sales. Working knowledge of mining, mineral processing, and grinding equipment. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. 3-5 years in Sales; preference given to demonstrated history of sales in the Mining Industry. Solid technical acumen and familiarity with Mineral Processing Facilities especially Grinding Mill Applications. Proficiency in making technical presentations with the use of MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Power Point.

Successful Candidate Expectations:

Expected travel throughout Western Canada and periodically Eastern Canada, is 50-60% and will occasionally include weekends. A desire to learn from hands-on job site visits, shop floor visits, and visiting key customers is important. A willingness to get involved in all aspects of the sales cycle is critical to ensure success. Excellent customer relation skills- Utilizing your negotiating skills to generate new orders. Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated and adopt a ‘must win’ attitude. Able to self-manage time and activities for optimum results.
