Our team has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Technical Planning Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  1. Seek and plan technology innovations in AI storage and emerging storage. You will help influence research and development efforts in future AI architecture, IT infrastructure, storage software stack, and future devices.
  2. Develop insights and thought leadership through in-depth study and analysis, participating in industrial and academic events and forums, and participating in internal technology and strategy discussions.
  3. As a key individual contributor, you are responsible for exploring and defining the technology landscape, trends, and frontiers that will have a significant impact on the industry and Huawei storage’s business in the mid-term and long-term.
  4. Drive technology strategy and technology development charters to contribute to Huawei storage's technology competitiveness and readiness in the future.
  5. Develop research directions and topics to advance state-of-the-art knowledge and insights on subject matters.

What you will bring to the team:

  1. 6+ years of experience with strong technology curiosity.
  2. A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or a storage-related field.
  3. Proficient in studying state-of-the-art research work and developing new ideas.
  4. Deep knowledge of high-performance AI computing microarchitecture, AI acceleration, computer system architecture, and enterprise storage.
  5. Driven, passionate about technology and innovation, and a self-starter.
