Robots & Pencils is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Product Owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of innovative digital products that deliver meaningful impact to users. This role is ideal for a product leader who is insight-driven, data-inspired, and deeply passionate about user experience and technology solutions.You will act as the critical point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment on vision, priorities, and execution. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on product management expertise, while fostering collaboration across disciplines to deliver exceptional outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Design & DevelopmentDefine a product strategy and roadmap with prioritized features that align with business goals and user needsAssist in shaping the core product vision, goals, and functional requirementsGuide the team through concept-to-experimentation-to-product deliveryDrive lean and agile development processes to maximize efficiency in evolving environmentsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to scope, build, and launch world-class productsProduct RoadmapTranslate product strategy into detailed requirements and deliverables in partnership with the UX teamDefine and deliver MVPs informed by research, scaling them into full-fledged productsCreate and maintain product roadmaps, feature backlogs, and documentation (PRDs, user stories, use cases, flows, and functional specifications)Product ManagementLead large, complex initiatives while mentoring peers and fostering a collaborative cultureWrite detailed functional specs to ensure alignment on outcomes and measures of successPrioritize development activities, determine technical implementation paths with engineers, partner with QA for testing, and lead product launchesStakeholder ManagementBuild buy-in for product strategy with executives and key stakeholdersContribute to team growth through mentoring and sharing knowledge in Pencil Sharpening sessionsWork closely within the UX practice, emphasizing teamwork and shared ownershipRequired Skills & Experience7+ years in product management, business analysis, or equivalent roles (BA/BS in a technical field such as Computer Science/Engineering preferred)Proven track record of leading and delivering large, complex products and servicesStrong background with agile methodologies and understanding of product management across development frameworksExcellent leadership, communication, and presentation skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to simplify, internalize, and communicate complex technical or business conceptsThorough, detail-oriented, and highly organizedDeep knowledge of user-driven product design and data-driven refinementUp-to-date awareness of market trends and emerging technologiesStrong understanding of user experience, technical, and business considerationsDomain expertise in one or more relevant industriesOwnership & Accountability – Takes initiative and delivers high-quality outcomes consistentlyCollaborative by Nature – Works seamlessly across cross-functional teams and disciplinesExecution-Oriented – Balances big-picture strategy with tactical execution in fast-moving environmentsCreative Problem-Solver – Approaches challenges with empathy, innovation, and pragmatismAdaptability – Thrives in evolving contexts, shifting priorities with resilience and clarityClient-Focused – Builds trust with clients by listening, empathizing, and aligning on impactful solutionsWhy Join Robots & Pencils?At Robots & Pencils, we blend creativity and technology to design elegant, scalable solutions that solve complex challenges for leading organizations.
