Business & Product Development Manager – T & T Supermarket Reporting to the Chief Production Officer, the Business & Product Development Manager is responsible for delivering sales of Bakery and Kitchen products from our Central facilities across all regions to Loblaw’s enterprise, including its affiliated banners and other non-competing customers. The role also handles sourcing and development of new products for the Bakery and Kitchen departments to increase assortment and differentiate from competitors. T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. It has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 37 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 14 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The company’s continuous expansion will bring several new stores in the coming years. Business Development Establish and maintain business relationships with Loblaw’s enterprise and affiliated banners through timely and effective communication on product categories, varieties, and pricing to drive sales and maximize profitability. Plan budgets for related business units. Own overall marketing strategies and event planning for bakery and kitchen deli products produced or sold through central facilities in both regions. Collaborate with Bakery and Kitchen Directors to develop business with other potential and non-competitive customers to increase sales volume of central facilities across all regions. Conduct assessment, analysis, and feasibility studies of new business initiatives as assigned by the Chief Production Officer. Product Development Work with regional managers and Loblaw’s category team to develop, source, and innovate products/categories to meet market needs. Maintain close relationships with overseas suppliers to periodically introduce trendy PFD products from Asia, expanding PD’s product categories and differentiation. Qualifications Minimum of 5‑8 years of experience in the bakery/food industry or at a food product manufacturing facility or chain store pastry operation. Well‑versed knowledge of food ingredient sourcing/purchase, production efficiencies, P&L control, budgeting, and event planning. Shift Shift work required. Weekdays, weekends, statutory holidays.
