In this role, you would be working as a member of the Data Science team and collaborating extensively with other functions within Data Analytics as well as with a variety of internal stakeholders. This role is best filled by a seasoned data scientist with broad experience throughout statistics, machine learning, and software development.

You'll be responsible for:

  1. Conducting end-to-end analysis that spans requirements gathering through the creation of reusable data products.
  2. Proactively identifying white space opportunities, quickly assessing value and feasibility, and delivering against strategic opportunities through application of data science and machine learning methods.
  3. Developing production-ready code and applying a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  4. Working with large and complex data sets to solve difficult open-ended problems by applying well-established techniques.
  5. Conducting exploratory data analyses to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions and drive outcomes.
  6. Providing thought leadership on emerging trends and best practices in data analytics and their potential applications to the business.
  7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven insights are incorporated into decision-making processes.
  8. Learning new approaches, tools, and techniques and sharing them with the team.
    1. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field; li>
    2. Minimum of 5 years of professional (or post-graduate) experience in data analytics or a related field with a proven track record of delivering data-driven insights and recommendations.
    3. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
    4. Extensive experience with Python, PySpark, and common data science libraries.
    5. Solid understanding of common data structures and algorithms with experience solving complex data problems efficiently.
    6. Strong knowledge accessing and manipulating large amounts of data, across a variety of formats and with a variety of tools, and experience troubleshooting large distributed pipelines/queries—you understand typical bottlenecks and trade-offs.
    7. Experienced with SQL (any dialect) including advanced concepts.
    8. Knowledge of foundational machine-learning concepts and algorithms and the ability to learn and implement emerging techniques.
    9. Exposure to cloud computing fundamentals is an asset.
    10. Experience collaborating as a team to develop analytics and software solutions.
