Contract Senior Data Scientist

The Senior Data Scientist will be leveraging advanced data science techniques to drive strategic decision-making for GAM Data and Analytics. His/her expertise in finance, optimization, quantitative analysis, and machine learning will be critical in developing and deploying innovative solutions that enhance our asset management capabilities.
What will you do?
- Develop and implement predictive models using machine learning techniques to forecast market trends and asset performance.
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for various applications across GAM.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their technical requirements and translate them into actionable data initiatives.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to continuously improve model performance and reliability.
- Lead the productionization of data science models, ensuring robust and scalable deployment.
- Utilize tools like Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce, or Plotly to create interactive and informative dashboards that empower stakeholders to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Incorporate advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modeling, clustering, and anomaly detection into dashboard visualizations to uncover hidden patterns and trends.
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate advanced analytics algorithms into dashboard applications for real-time decision support and scenario analysis.
What do you need to succeed?
Must haves:
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical models, and optimization techniques; experience in portfolio construction and optimization techniques preferred.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and familiarity with data science libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
- Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and Large Language models.
- Understanding of business context, objectives, and requirements. Ability to align ML solutions with business goals, identify opportunities for ML applications, and communicate the value and potential impact to the organization.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-have:
- Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, or related field.
- Extensive experience in the finance industry, particularly in asset management or investment banking.
