Director, Ambulatory Care & Patient Support ServicesJoin to apply for the Director, Ambulatory Care & Patient Support Services role at Muskoka Algonquin HealthcareThe Director, Ambulatory Care & Patient Support Services oversees Pharmacy, Chemotherapy & Infusion Clinics, Dialysis, Diabetes Education Programs, Ontario Telemedicine Network, Infection Prevention & Control, Environmental Services, and Food & Nutrition Services. The Director promotes patient-centered care, safety, and a supportive work environment while aligning services with MAHC’s Strategic Plan. This role leads the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure high-quality, compassionate care and works collaboratively with leadership and departments on initiatives that enhance service delivery across the organization.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and consultation to ensure 24/7 delivery of high-quality clinical and patient support servicesBuild and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient careDevelop, implement, and evaluate standards, policies, and procedures that align with best practices and organizational valuesOversee departmental budgets and operational plans in coordination with management and strategic goalsIdentify and address risk management issues, equipment needs, and capital planning requirementsMonitor quality indicators, utilization, and program performance to drive continuous improvementManage human resources through performance appraisals, recruitment, coaching, and staff developmentEnsure readiness for accreditation surveys and compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standardsFoster effective communication, teamwork, and a culture of recognition and innovation across programsRepresent the organization externally, supporting integration of care initiatives and organizational projects across multiple sitesQualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related discipline requiredMaster's Degree in a related discipline is desiredMinimum of 5 years of progressive related clinical experience requiredMinimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a unionized environment requiredBenefitsCompetitive Extended Health, Dental, Vision Care and Emergency Out of Country coverageHealthcare spending account to augment benefitsParticipation in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)Annual allowance of time-in-lieuLeadership team committed to accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
