Together, they’ve raised capital, scaled teams, and worked alongside some of the best operators in tech. Beyond our client work, we invest heavily in our product studio, where we build internal tools and SaaS products. We’re a technical, full‑stack team with engineering capabilities, focused on scaling sustainably with the best revenue per employee possible. Our goal is to grow the agency while expanding the product studio into multiple, efficient business units with strong margins and long‑term scalability. We’re intentionally small: a 23‑person team of specialists who’ve worked with companies like Raycast, CloudKitchens, Namecheap, SamCart, Cashea, Kueski, Klar, Platzi, HeroUI, Rebill, Luuna, and Endeavor. For every client, 1–2 directors are deeply involved to provide hands‑on guidance and support. Learn more: www.m8l.com About the Role We’re looking for a Senior SEO Manager / Head of SEO to lead and scale SEO strategies for some of the most exciting startups in the U.S. and Latin America. This role is both strategic and hands‑on. You’ll work directly with founders, CMOs, and product leaders to design and execute high‑impact SEO roadmaps while mentoring our internal team of SEO specialists and content strategists. If you thrive at the intersection of strategy, execution, and leadership, this role is for you. What You’ll Do Lead SEO strategy across multiple early‑stage and scaling startups. Translate SEO opportunities into growth outcomes (traffic, signups, revenue). Advise directly at the founder/CMO level, shaping product and GTM roadmaps. Build and refine playbooks for technical, on‑page, and programmatic SEO. Execution & Optimization Conduct advanced keyword and competitor research to uncover new opportunities. Oversee audits and provide optimization recommendations for landing pages, blogs, and product sites. Ensure implementation of schema, Core Web Vitals improvements, and internal linking structures. Support programmatic SEO initiatives and reverse proxy setups. Analytics & Impact Define KPIs and frameworks for success. Create dashboards to track visibility, rankings, and conversions. Use insights to tell the story: how SEO translates into business growth. Client & Team Management Actively manage weekly client communications, reporting, and strategy discussions. Mentor SEO Specialists, Content Managers, and Analysts. Review deliverables to maintain high‑quality standards across all SEO work. Collaborate closely with design, Webflow/Framer developers, content, and product teams. Stay ahead of algorithm updates, AI‑driven search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, SGE), and SEO tech. Bring new methodologies and innovations to the team. About You Must‑Haves 5+ years of experience in SEO, with at least 2 years leading projects or teams. Proven track record driving SEO impact for startups, SaaS, or tech companies. Strong technical SEO expertise (indexing, crawling, structured data, CWV). Advanced keyword research and content strategy skills. Proficiency with SEO tools (GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog). Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish (bilingual or native). Experience managing clients directly in an agency or consulting environment. Located within a flexible time zone (±3h Mexico City). Nice‑to‑Haves Experience with Webflow, Framer, or Shopify SEO. Knowledge of CRO, A/B testing, and experimentation. Familiarity with Clearscope, SurferSEO, Looker Studio, GA4. Understanding of AI search optimization. Prior experience managing or hiring SEO teams.
