The Role Legend is hiring a Head of SEO, to join our leadership team, reporting directly to our Chief Sports Officer. We’re looking for someone ready to grow Covers.com into the undeniable #1 online sports betting resource in North America and globally. This should include moats and initiatives that not only take us to the very top across every region, country, and state that we operate in, but place us in a position where we cannot be moved or replaced by the competition. You and your team should be the absolute best in the game, combining forward-thinking and grand initiatives that can really move the needle with attention to detail and perfect optimization on a page-by-page level in order to excel across the SERPs and grow commercial outcomes. Your Impact Lead and mentor a team of SEOs with a focus on advancing on-page optimization impact. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the SEO team and projects/initiatives that operate in conjunction with other teams within the group. Future planning – responsibility for the long-term organic strategy for Covers.com (initiative planning, resources, timeframes and execution). Team Management – Goals, Growth, Training and Development. Setting the right expectations to not only meet agreed deliverables but smash through them. Culture Shift > SEO First: Turn SEO into a key component of the leadership team, future direction and strategy. Manage key tools and expenses associated with SEO and Covers.com to ensure teams have what they need and can drive forward at pace. Be the unblocker in SEO – consistently working to make sure processes are as smooth as possible, key operations and deadlines are met, helping to filter out the noise so that individuals and teams can stay focused and deliver. Oversee and resolve complex technical SEO challenges for a large-scale, enterprise-level website. Drive link-building initiatives to strengthen domain authority and expand organic visibility. What You'll Bring Proven experience within a leadership team, working in collaboration with peers, earning trust and respect, and together making decisions that ensure growth & profitability for the business. Proven success in developing and implementing SEO strategies with long-term results (ideally for multiple verticals & geographies). Ability to oversee and drive SEO strategy whilst still working at pace and ensuring creative excellence. Proactive awareness and anticipation of the latest industry innovations, tools, digital channels, and the role of SEO. Natural coach, mentor, and talent magnet, able to motivate and provide direction to the team, setting clear objectives and development plans. Preferred Qualifications Driver (not passive) & International exposure across a big brand/s. Experience of driving organic content strategies to support organic growth and expansion. Product Thinker, Scale Thinker, Holistic Brand Thinker (not just base SEO). The Interview Process 1st: Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom). 2nd: SEO knowledge and team leadership interview with senior leaders. 3rd: Case study presentation task round with the Head of SEO and the Head of Sports. 4th: Final round of discussion with the CEO.
