Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial principles, with the ability to analyze and prepare tax returns for individuals and sole prop businesses. This role requires proficiency in Tax Cycle, as well as various accounting software, including QuickBooks and Sage. As a Tax Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional financial services to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals and sole prop businesses in compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify potential tax liabilities and opportunities for savings.
- Utilize accounting software such as Tax Cycle, QuickBooks, and Sage to manage client accounts effectively.
- Assist clients with inquiries regarding their tax situations and provide expert advice on tax planning strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an asset.
- Proven education and experience as a Tax Professional or similar role within the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
