THE OPPORTUNITY – Fund Development Assistant – Canada Summer Jobs

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop innovative and unique fundraising ideas.
  • Write funding proposals to potential sponsors.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Raiser Edge.
  • Represent & promote Vecova through relevant community initiatives.
  • Support the team with various projects including but not limited to fundraising research, fundraising planning & execution.

WHAT YOU BRING

We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences, and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:

  • Currently studying in a post-secondary program in related field/education
  • Have a deep understanding of various fundraising strategies.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
  • Operate with Integrity and maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members, sponsors, and consumers.
  • Suitable for youth from 15 -30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation
  • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
  • Represent Vecova in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity
