Then, watch for a unique link in your email to apply.We are looking for an Associate Director to join our Business Continuity Program This role, within the Enterprise Operational Risk Management Team, will support OMERS in achieving the required level of operational resilience to be able to respond effectively to any business interruption event, with a focus on continuous improvement. This includes ensuring our people are safe, our assets secure, our technology functional, our communications clear and our operations resilient during a crisis.We believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford, the strength of our employees, and the work we do for our pension members. Our hybrid work guideline requires teams to come to the office for a minimum of 4 days per week.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the development and implementation of the Business Continuity Program (BCP), the Operational Resilience Frameworks and OMERS Crisis Management Team maturityDevelop and lead the communication and engagement strategy to support program maturityWork closely with the Director Business Continuity to develop reporting and communication for Senior Management, the Senior Vice President of Enterprise and Operational Risk, the Executive Leadership Team, and the BoardDevelop, maintain and evolve program practices and process to ensure the enterprise BCP program remains current and effective, adhering to industry standards as appropriate, including documentation, tools, processes, and instructional guidesIdentify and implement opportunities to mature the programs by leveraging internal and external thought leaders, pension peer relationships, and external trends and emerging risksLead technology enhancements including identifying opportunities through emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence and Machine LearningMonitor changes in the regulatory environment, communicate those changes, and recommend actions that are appropriate for OMERSProvide guidance and direction to the business to ensure their business continuity management processes are in accordance with the enterprise wide BCP Program and quality standardsLead coordination for completion of annual business impact analysis revalidation process for all business functions, with a heightened focus on the most critical business functions, to ensure accurate business continuity requirements are maintainedLead coordination for execution of annual BCP Exercises for all critical business functions to assess the quality and accuracy of business plans as well as document and report the outcomes, with a heightened focus on the most critical business functionsSupport and lead in the development and facilitation of enterprise-level crisis management exercises, including post-exercise reporting and follow-upLiaise with Procurement, IT and critical business functions in the management of third-party vendor riskIdentify opportunities to streamline processes through automation or process enhancementsLiaise with IT and critical business functions to ensure IT Disaster Recovery testing objectives are achievedDevelop and provide input on key risk indicators, and lead the Enterprise Risk Assessment process for the teamDevelop, implement, and facilitate the BCP training and awareness programManage project and administrative schedules to ensure activities proceed on time and on budgetWork with each line of business to coordinate BCP governance activitiesProvide support to OMERS Crisis Management Teams during the execution of the BCP crisis management protocols and lead the post-crisis reporting processProvide support to OMERS travel security risk management program including incident response and awareness initiativesParticipate in external 7x24x365 incident management on-call supportPrepare and coordinate BCP governance meetings, including consolidating and publishing meeting materials, agendas, and minutesAct in an expert administrator’s capacity for OMERS’ business continuity platform and emergency notification tool including the ability to facilitate customization when requiredAct as an expert user of OMERS’ travel security risk management platformQualificationsMinimum 8 years of experience in business continuity with significant exposure to the financial services and real estate industries, with a minimum of 5 years of directly supporting the management of an enterprise-wide BCP programBusiness continuity industry certification (MBCI or CBCP minimum)Expert level knowledge of and ability to apply business continuity management good/professional practicesDemonstrated ability to develop trusted collaborative working relationships across multiple stakeholdersStrong communication and influencing skills, with experience developing and facilitating education programs at an executive management levelHighly developed relationship skills with demonstrated ability to communicate in verbal and written form to a variety of audiences internally and externallyExpert level organizational skillsExpert level data gathering, analysis and management skillsExpert user level knowledge of Excel required, including advanced formulas and designExpert user level knowledge with MS PowerPoint for the development of presentations for senior managementExpert level report writing and presentation development are integral to the roleExperience with Power BIExperience leveraging AI tools for data gathering and analysisProven ability to learn new software system skills at the expert/administrator level including customizationExcellent team skills, both as a leader and as a team playerExpert level presentation and training skills, including development of related materialsProven leadership, change management, strategic-thinking skills, and critical-thinking skillsProven ability to
