We are currently looking to hire a full-time, experienced General Manager for Queens Village for Seniors, our retirement home in London, Ontario. We offer a very competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.

Position:

As the GM, you will lead a dynamic team dedicated to providing excellence in resident care. With overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the home, you will work closely with the management team to maintain a positive resident-centric culture, promote an understanding of best practices, play a key leadership and collaborative role in quality improvement, and ensure ongoing compliance with governing legislation and regulations while working within budgetary requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring the development of an empowered and motivated staff through effective recruiting, coaching, training management, conflict resolution, and effective team management practices.
  2. Ensuring appropriate training requirements are met.
  3. Staff scheduling.
  4. Organizing tours for prospective residents and their families, and management of the admissions process.
  5. Management of policies and procedures, reflective of daily operations.
  6. Being well-versed with RHRA policies and training.
  7. In concert with the management team, the development of strategic plans and goal-setting plans, recommending future enhancements and changes in policies and processes to achieve quality improvement goals.
  8. Managing resources within budgets.

Qualifications:

Ideally someone with a healthcare background, with experience in sales and marketing, preferably with a degree designation. This is a preference but not a requirement. Previous experience working in a Retirement Home in any of the following capacities is preferred: Nurse/Management/Marketing.

Related administrative/management experience. Prior experience with RHRA policies is helpful.

Core competencies include team leadership, communication, organization and planning, sales, and marketing.

Having involvement with the healthcare community/Hospital/LHIN will be a definite asset.

Compensation: A competitive salary package is offered, commensurate with experience.
