As an Occupational Therapist with VHA, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse client groups in their homes and/or schools, providing consultation, assessment, and planned interventions. Your expertise will ensure coordinated delivery of care through ongoing communication with the client care team regarding plans and schedules for interventions.

Key areas of accountability include assessing and implementing occupational therapy interventions, ensuring best practice, evidence-based care, and evaluating outcomes through routine use of valid and reliable measures.

In addition to your professional skills, you will be required to document all assessment findings, treatment plans, progress, and discharge summaries of interventions as required by the profession, referral source, and organization.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized school, be a Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, and hold a valid Driver's License with access to a vehicle.

You will also need to be compassionate and empathetic, self-driven with the ability to work independently, skilled in caseload management, and able to provide virtual care.

Estimated salary for this position is $83,000 per year, based on national averages and location.
