ERP Technical Analyst - Enterprise Finance Applications

NSB Omega is searching for an ERP Technical Analyst for our Client in St. johns, NL.

Assignment Description

The ERP Programmer / Technical Analyst - Level 2 will be responsible for operational maintenance and enhancements for enterprise Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Hyperion applications, Oracle APEX and other customer applications as required.

The individual will handle both internal initiatives and complex client requests, adhering to set priorities and deadlines. Responsibilities will include detailed analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of both new and existing applications within the Enterprise Finance Applications portfolio.

Working under the direction of the Design and Delivery Manager, the responsibilities of the ERP Programmer / Technical Analyst - Level 2 will include, but not be limited to the following.

  • Follow policies and work processes of the OCIO's Design and Delivery Branch;
  • Responsible for request processing and the quality control, maintenance, change management, support and administration of production systems as assigned by Team Lead using OCIO ticketing system;
  • Conduct analysis and programming for E-Business Suite and Hyperion requests, and other applications within Enterprise Finance Applications portfolio, ensuring their availability and integrity;
  • Recommend technical and functional solutions in supporting E-Business Suite modules including:

  • General Ledger

  • Inventory
  • Order Entry
  • Fixed Assets
  • Cash Management
  • Systems Administration
  • Project Costing
  • iExpenses
  • EBTax
  • Advanced Collections
  • Design, develop and support customizations, personalizations and add-ons for Oracle E-Business Suite;
  • Provide technical support for Oracle Internet Directory product that enables LDAP integration with Oracle eBusiness Suite.
  • Develop and support solutions created using BI Publisher (XML), Oracle Reports, Blitz Reports, APEX, Interfaces and Workflows;
  • Provide technical support for OBIA (Oracle Business Intelligence Analytics) system;
  • Assist with Administration, Essbase MAXL scripting, ODI Interface development and performance tuning for Hyperion's Planning, Financial Management and Financial Reporting modules.
  • Provide technical architecture analysis to plan and implement patching and upgrades for Oracle E-Business Suite and Hyperion Applications and databases;
  • Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting performance issues for other systems within the organization;
  • In an effort to modernize legacy systems, design and develop new applications in new technologies such as Oracle APEX;
  • Liaise with other groups within the OCIO such as Operations, DBAs and Security groups to ensure application security while following IT industry best practices;
  • Understand the business needs and problems of the organization/client and recommend, define and implement appropriate technical and functional solutions to resolve these issues;
  • Work closely with clients to ensure continued support of modifications to E-Business Suite, and Hyperion for multiple organizational use of existing government solutions;
  • Liaise with Oracle support in logging and analyzing tickets;
  • Create and modify code, screens and reports according to published standards while taking into consideration the Information Management and Information Protection requirements of the system;
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of programs by using sample data and testing them by means of unit, functional, integration, system and user acceptance testing;
  • Write and update operational instructions and system documentation including test plans, implementation plans, Operational Procedure Manuals (OPMs), DR plans, Network Diagrams.
