TWD is currently seeking a Mechanical/Project Engineer to join our team in Sarnia, ON. You will be working at site; no hybrid/remote option
- Develop project scopes for Mechanical discipline and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Work with internal groups (such as Operations, Inspection, Engineering, HSE, etc.) on front-end project definition.
- Coordinate with internal/external engineering resources, procurement, contractors, and site resources to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Monitor, manage, and control projects to ensure that they are delivered on time, and aligned with clients' requirements.
- Contribute to the completion of established engineering project baselines in conjunction with Leads and other engineering personnel.
- Forecast, monitor, and manage potential risks that can negatively impact the successful completion of projects.
- Ensure overall engineering project compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Act as the first point of contact for engineering and other stakeholders.
- Generate mechanical and/or process deliverables which include (but are not limited to): piping and mechanical layout drawings, line designation tables, data sheets, equipment datasheet, engineering work packages, purchase specifications, etc.
- Review RFIs, bids, contracts, and proposals, and respond with a demonstration of sound technical knowledge, and good interpretation of codes and standards.
- Apply sound engineering principles and procedures to meet quality and established performance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Registered professional engineering in Ontario.
- 5-10 years of Mechanical engineering experience in Oil and Gas.
- Experience creating mechanical scopes of work and construction work packages.
