Our valued Public Sector Client is looking for a

Senior Business Consultant to provide strategic advice and recommendations in support of the delivery and implementation of an improved finance infrastructure.

The consultant will also provide direct support to the Director General, Corporate Services/CFO, and the Director of Finance and Procurement in terms of the development of finance programs and policy instruments. The recommendations must ensure that the finance programs and services within the organization are well-aligned to enable the Secretariat to meet its obligations and effectively and efficiently deliver its mandate.

Responsibilities: Gap analysis of financial policies issued, published and available to staff A detailed report providing recommendations and next steps Provide strategic input and advice on documents to be submitted to Treasury Board as required FOSO, Departmental Financial Statements, etc. A detailed report providing recommendations on the development and implementation of new investment planning strategy Perform challenge function for strategic financial discussions Provide advice on the development of a strategy for financial statements, use or interpretation of various options for accounting standards; Provide high-level strategic advice to the Director General, Corporate Services/CFO and Director of Finance and Procurement and other senior staff. Perform a finance gap analysis by reviewing and providing advice on financial frameworks and policies. Develop/advise on a new investment planning strategy Facilitate and guide access to the appropriate central agency contacts for strategic or complex issues.

Must Haves: Bilingual

10+years Experience working with the

Government of Canada

6+years Implementing/working with

Financial Policies/Governance

3+years Degree or Diploma/Certificate
