Job Summary

Coordinate, organize and facilitate the running of income tax clinics virtually and in person for low-income clients.

Job Specific Responsibilities

  1. Organize virtual income tax processes and attend the in-person tax clinics as scheduled (Fridays in March and April, 2 Saturdays in March).
  2. Setup appropriate processes regarding volunteers for virtual income tax and in-person clinics to minimize privacy issues.
  3. Develop a data tracking system for reporting purposes.
  4. Work with volunteers who prepare taxes and appropriately assign clients.
  5. Work with volunteers who answer the phones to register clients.
  6. Assist income tax volunteers with processes, forms, and client concerns.
  7. Organize materials, supplies, and support items for each clinic.
  8. Experience working with MS Teams, Forms, Sharepoint, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and MS Excel.

  2. Respect and value the diversity of communities and individuals.
  3. Contribute to the Centre’s activities to collect, analyze and report on data and relevant information, and participate in research.
  4. Support the Centre’s volunteers and student placement programs.
  5. Support the Centre’s Occupational Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  2. Proficiency in use of and troubleshooting computer issues.
  3. English is essential; other languages are considered an asset.
  4. Comfortable working in a hybrid position with 14 hours on-site per week.
  5. Available to work on Fridays and two Saturdays.
