Position Summary:Reporting to Regional Account Manager, QC - East, the Account Manager for Used Cooking Oil (UCO) is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing top-quality service and finding solutions to various challenges. The Account Manager will use their sales skills and experience to generate growth by managing existing business relationships and focusing on new business opportunities. The Account Manager provides information to customers, co-ordinates customer requirements with logistics and production to provide the best level of service. As a key member of the Raw Material Procurement Team, the Account Manager is the key contact for Regional restaurant chains, as well as Independent restaurants and Industrial accounts, in Darling's waste oil collection business.POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for defending the current customer base and volume against competitive threatsSecure organic growth within the regional chains and independent restaurants and growing volumes through customer acquisitionProspect new clients and monitor competitive position within the marketplaceDevelop and execute tactics to maintain strong client base by building on customer relationshipsAchieve expected activity goals and KPI'sAssist our Customer Service and Logistics teams to aid in the development of sales and the delivery of high-quality customer supportWork as a team player with fellow staff members to optimize productivityEnsure that all of the work being carried out by DICI Logistics and Customer Service meets our quality and service standards to ensure high-quality customer serviceMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresBuild and manage key customer relationshipsCommitment to building effective external relationships and professional networks (both individuals and organizations)Other duties as requiredREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:University or College Degree/diploma, preferably in a business-related fieldProgressive sales experience (10 to 15 Years) in business to business environmentBilingual, oral and written (French and English) is considered an assetExperience in an outside sales position with territory responsibilityProven record of sales success in a service-oriented industryInnovative, aggressive, results oriented individual tempered by professionalism and self-awareness with a strong bias for actionStrong oral and written communication skills with a polished and professional business approach and acumenStrong interpersonal skills; actively listens to customers' needs in both formal and informal settings/environmentsDemonstrated problem solving abilities, proactive use of information and resources, and strong a sense of urgencyEnergetic and sales drivenSupplier relationship building skills with the highest of integrityAbility to work under pressure, multitask and establish prioritiesStrong computer skills – including experience with Apple products as well as using a CRM, OracleNo restrictions on travel and able to spend minimum four days to eight days per month travelling in the maritime provinces (overnight trips required) and occasional travel to Ontario for sales meetingGenerally, with the requirement of one day every month working out of the Truro office to build rapport with, and support, the production team, drivers and management as well as to understand the business and operationsWE OFFER:Competitive Salary Plus an annual bonusFlexible Health and Dental Benefit Plan.Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Employee Assistance Program.Defined Contribution Pension Plan.Educational Assistance Programs, Scholarship Programs, Apprenticeship Programs.Darling International Canada Inc. is committed to a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities where our facilities are located.
