POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking an engineering co‑op student to join our Smart Bus Technology team remotely as an NFI Connect Applications Specialist. This hands‑on role offers valuable experience in developing, implementing, and improving NFI Connect products, including module programming, geofencing, over‑the‑air updates, and troubleshooting. Inclusive workplace culture that values and empowers team members. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Learn and maintain an understanding of the NFI Connect system capabilities and limitations. Assist in troubleshooting and implementing system improvements. Collaborate with team members to set up and execute improvement projects. Support the development and maintenance of hardware and software procedures for Smart Bus systems. Contribute to implementing standardized processes for NFI Connect products. Provide technical support to production lines and internal/external customers. Work closely with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and customer service. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Currently enrolled in a recognized post‑secondary engineering program and eligible for co‑op placement. Interest in telematics, electrical architecture, and communication networks in the bus and coach industry. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design software (e.g., Unigraphics/Siemens NX, AutoCAD) is an asset. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
