Manager, Park Operations (Health & Safety)

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renowned wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore's Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces, and an eco-friendly resort.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Health & Safety (H&S)
  2. Ensure regulatory compliance for Mandai Wildlife Reserve, including review of plans, implementation of control measures, and routine inspections.
  3. Conduct internal audits, gap analysis, root cause identification, and recommend corrective actions for H&S Management System and incidents.
  4. Prepare, update, and liaise on plans/reports as required by local statutory bodies.
  5. Respond to emergencies, investigate incidents, and propose corrective actions.
  6. Coordinate external audits and maintain documents for ISO45001/bizSAFE.
  7. Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with requirements.
  8. Conduct training and awareness programmes to improve stakeholders' competencies and awareness, including on change procedures.
  9. Implement processes, including contractor management, for works leading to the operation of new parks/facilities.
  10. Perform compliance audits and inspections to ensure new parks/facilities comply with occupier and statutory requirements.
  11. Conduct management reporting and keep abreast with local legislations.
  12. Appointed as Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and perform FSM duties for new parks/facilities.
  13. Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for new parks/facilities.
  14. Prepare and submit annual fire safety report.
  15. Review and provide guidance to stakeholders on the adequacy of emergency preparedness and response.
  16. Facilitate the planning, design, conduct, and evaluation of emergency drills.
  17. Be a key secretariat team member for crisis management.
  18. Other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  1. Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in health and safety management.
  3. Experience in regulatory compliance with local health, safety, and fire safety regulations, including audits and certifications.
  4. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise effectively with different departments, external auditors, and statutory bodies.
