Residential Construction Site Superintendent

The Residential Construction Site Superintendent will coordinate and schedule the construction of Custom Homes and Multi‑Family Projects (6-10 units). This includes coordinating trades, managing material deliveries, and project management on multiple sites.Skyward Homes is a small, high‑performance team working together on infills and multi‑family projects since 2017. We are looking for the right person to join our team who believes that every neighbourhood can benefit from revitalization, every project is unique, and every client deserves quality.Requirements5 or more years of experience with infill and multi‑family projects including progressive project management experienceGood communication skills and ability to ‘problem solve’Critical thinking, good judgement and decision making skillsExtensive understanding of tools, materials and equipmentKnowledge of building codes and different construction techniquesCollaborative, flexible, and willing to learn in a fast‑paced environmentBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and One DriveProject Management Certification or Red Seal in Carpentry would be considered an assetResponsibilitiesConduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure budget, schedule, quality and safety standards are adhered toReview Project file to understand specific job requirements including Blueprints, Structural Engineering and Site Service EngineeringSchedule and organize tradesProvide support to trades to ensure construction schedule is maintainedQuality Assure all stages of constructionPrepare for and schedule all inspectionsEnsure trades follow Skyward Standards for quality and safetyEnsure tools, materials and equipment are supplied, in good working order and stored correctlyIdentify and address issues as they occur including escalating to owner if neededAttend weekly Meetings, Coordinate and Communicate with Skyward TeamEnsure quality control documents / checklists are followed, filled out and filed with the officeReview monthly invoices ensuring all work completed is aligned with invoicesMaintain Budget and Timeline objectivesPerform pre‑occupancy inspection and ensure home is ready for possessionParticipate in safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environmentPosition Conditions80% travel to project sites in Edmonton area, 20% office basedValid driver’s licence and access to reliable vehicle.
