The Manager, Direct-to-Consumer, Strategy and Analytics will play a key role in helping grow Bell Media’s leading portfolio of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) services, including Crave, TSN, RDS, and Starz. This individual will support forecasting, reporting, and subscriber analytics for Bell Media’s different distribution channels within our Direct-to-Consumer business, including our own OTT channels alongside our in-app-purchase partnerships (Apple, Google, Roku, and Amazon). In addition, this individual will play an instrumental role in supporting Crave and TSN’s Direct-to-Consumer strategic planning process, ensuring Bell Media is optimally positioned in the ever-evolving and increasingly digital TV industry. This critical business role requires exceptional analytical skills, critical thinking, complex modelling, and a deep interest and understanding of all things TV.

Key Responsibilities

Subscriber Insights

  1. Support the business with subscriber analytics and modelling using both internal and external data.
  2. Summarize and present conclusions to all levels of the organization, applying a level of insight and expertise that extends beyond the numbers alone.
  3. Work closely with different groups within the Crave team, including Finance, Marketing, Promotions, and Partnerships, to both support and drive key initiatives to meet subscription/revenue targets.
  4. Prepare presentations that summarize the benefits and return on investment for key initiatives.
  5. Identify risks and opportunities within the market and communicate possible impacts to the business.
  6. Complete special projects, presentations, and ad hoc reports to support Sr. Leadership decision making.

Strategic Planning

  1. Support and facilitate the digital transformation of Bell Media’s distribution strategy for video products by owning the business cases and financial analysis for new projects, pricing constructs, and product enhancements required to grow our business.
  2. Work collaboratively with stakeholders in various departments such as Finance, Programming, Product, Ad-sales, Marketing, and other teams within Bell to ensure new initiatives are assessed holistically and represent the optimal path forward for BCE.
  3. Create presentation materials that clearly and effectively equip Bell Media’s leadership team to drive internal change at the highest levels of our organization.

Reporting and Data Enhancements

  1. Work alongside technological teams to champion new and enhanced reporting and dashboards that provide automated and critical insights to relevant organizational stakeholders.
  2. Monitor the content distribution market, including offerings from other distributors.
Critical Qualifications
  1. Post-secondary education in Business or Finance.
  2. Superior analytical skills combined with the ability to construct/deconstruct complex financial proposals.
  3. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software applications, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking.
  6. A deep passion for all things TV and Media, with a strong desire to build a long-term career in the space.
  7. Media and/or telecommunications industry experience in a business strategy role is an asset.
  8. Bilingualism is an asset (English and French).

Additional Information:

For work arrangements that are ‘Hybrid’, successful candidates must be based in Canada and report to a set Bell office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, Bell offers flexibility in work hours based on the business needs.
