**Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Help set daily news agenda by monitoring news wires, breaking news press releases, CTV News content and Bloomberg partner content
- Produce and help write daily business content and lead a team of chase producers and anchors
- Produce breaking news and live-event coverage for a sophisticated audience who knows and understands topics such as finance, business, markets and investment
- Vet/edit scripts and digital stories
- Help maintain editorial calendar
- Proactively share content with the broader CTV News team on daily and weekly content
- Mentor/train staff on business journalism best practices
- Lead Senior News Team on special projects

**Critical Qualifications**:

- Strong knowledge of business, finance and economics
- 5+ years of business journalism experience
- Comfortable working in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment
- A self-starter who is eager to contribute content on multiple platforms
- A team player who gives and receives feedback well
- A journalist who is committed to the highest industry and ethical standards

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Extensive experience producing live news from both an editorial and production perspective
- Experience building line-ups, and working in a live control room
- Proven recent experience in supervisory news roles
- A journalism and/or business degree will be considered an asset
- Experience with Bloomberg Terminal
