Responsibilities Help design, institute, and coordinate the compliance framework and enforce related rules. Ensure that oversight measures such as officer and employee behaviours comply with organizational standards. Lead development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative. Make recommendations on planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives requiring comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Interact with stakeholders working in many other fields. Serve as specialist advisor and subject matter expert, as well as resource person and coach for decision‑making bodies. Lead specialized development projects, initiatives and activities that significantly impact the entire organization. Design, update, implement and monitor complex action plans, programs, solutions and tools requiring comprehensive knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance to balance business needs, requirements and best practices. Advise clients and partners to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives. Identify, analyze and diagnose major issues and make recommendations to decision‑making bodies. Develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support the unit’s strategic projects and initiatives. Offer legal and regulatory compliance programs to internal employees to promote a culture of ethics and compliance. Represent Desjardins’ position when making agreements with external partners and organizations. A minimum of six years of relevant experience (other combinations of qualifications and experience may be considered). Knowledge of French is required.
