Trade Financing Advisor at National Bank of Canada Your role as an international trade financing specialist will have a positive impact by providing advisory expertise, drafting guarantees and standby letters of credit, and optimizing client processes. You will work closely with legal advisors, account managers, and internal partners to ensure rigorous risk management and exceptional service. Responsibilities Provide accessible advisory services tailored to client and partner needs Prepare drafts of guarantees and standby letters of credit Participate in calls with legal advisors to structure and draft texts Enter security in Trade360 and submit applications to Export Development Canada Communicate with account managers to obtain credit approvals Optimize processes for exceptional client experience and rigorous risk management Coach less experienced colleagues Team & Reporting You are part of a 12‑person team in the International Trade Financing Expertise sector, reporting to the Senior Manager of the Guarantee and Standby Letter of Credit Department and supervised by the Senior Manager, Trade Finance Expertise Desk. The team operates in an agile, proactive, and collaborative environment.
