Job Title: Risk Governance Specialist - Model Risk

Location: Montreal

About the Role:As a Risk Governance Specialist within our Model Risk team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the sound and consistent application of our Model Risk Governance Framework across a diverse range of model types. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the AMER Model Inventory and the Model Risk Management (GRC) platform, which are essential for tracking and governing models across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Model Risk Oversight:
    • Oversee the Model Risk Management remediation program, ensuring timely delivery and approval of deliverables.
    • Refine the Risk Framework by enhancing AMER model risk policies and procedures.
    • Manage and maintain the AMER Model Inventory, ensuring its accuracy and alignment with updated model definitions.
    • Coordinate with Validation Teams to develop and agree upon the annual validation plan.
    • Support regulatory and audit preparations by preparing necessary materials.
    • Collaborate with technology teams to develop and implement innovative solutions for model inventory and workflow management.
    • Track and report on model risk issues and remediation actions.
    • Disseminate governance materials and ensure their effective communication.
Qualifications:Must Have:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Risk Management, with a strong focus on Model Risk.
  • Deep understanding of risk metrics, model controls, and industry standards, including regulatory requirements (e.g., SR11-07).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to draft clear and concise policies, procedures, MIS reports, and presentations for various audiences (senior management, regulators, etc.).
  • Strong change management and influence skills with the ability to drive adoption of new initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience in consulting or auditing within the investment or financial services sectors.
Language:
  • Fluency in both English and French is required.
Legal and Regulatory Requirements:
  • Due to applicable US Federal Securities laws, candidates must be willing to undergo an enhanced background screening, including fingerprint collection by a FINRA-approved third-party vendor.

En tant que spécialiste en gouvernance des risques au sein de notre équipe Risque de modèle, vous jouerez un rôle essentiel pour assurer l'application solide et cohérente de notre cadre de gouvernance des risques de modèle sur une gamme diversifiée de types de modèles. Vous serez responsable de la gestion et de la maintenance de l'inventaire des modèles AMER et de la plateforme de gestion des risques de modèle (GRC), qui sont essentiels pour le suivi et la gouvernance des modèles dans toute la région.

Principales responsabilités :

Supervision des modèles de risque :
  • Superviser le programme de remédiation de la gestion des risques de modèle, en garantissant la livraison et l'approbation en temps opportun des livrables.
  • Affiner le cadre de risque en améliorant les politiques et procédures de risque du modèle AMER.
  • Gérer et maintenir l'inventaire des modèles AMER, en garantissant son exactitude et son alignement avec les définitions de modèle mises à jour.
  • Coordonner avec les équipes de validation pour élaborer et approuver le plan de validation annuel.
  • Soutenir les préparatifs réglementaires et d'audit en préparant les documents nécessaires.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes technologiques pour développer et mettre en œuvre des solutions innovantes pour l'inventaire des modèles et la gestion des flux de travail.
  • Suivre et signaler les problèmes de risque liés aux modèles et les mesures correctives.
  • Diffuser les documents de gouvernance et assurer leur communication efficace.

Qualifications :
Doit posséder :
  • 3 années ou plus d'expérience pertinente en gestion des risques, avec une forte concentration sur le risque lié aux modèles.
  • Compréhension approfondie des mesures de risque, des contrôles des modèles et des normes de l'industrie, y compris les exigences réglementaires (par exemple, SR11-07).
  • Baccalauréat en finance, en économie ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Capacité avérée à rédiger des politiques, des procédures, des rapports SIG et des présentations clairs et concis pour divers publics (haute direction, régulateurs, etc.).
  • Solides compétences en gestion du changement et en influence avec la capacité de favoriser l'adoption de nouvelles initiatives.
  • Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et de communication avec la capacité de collaborer efficacement avec des équipes interfonctionnelles.
  • Forte attention aux détails, compétences organisationnelles et capacité à établir des priorités efficacement.
Atouts :
Expérience en conseil ou en audit dans les secteurs de l'investissement ou des services financiers.

Langue :
La maîtrise de l'anglais et du français est requise.
