We are seeking a skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic iForms team. You bring deep technical knowledge, application development experience, and are comfortable owning the vision for a solution’s design. You are someone who sees the big system picture but can also dive deep into implementation details. You’re equally comfortable with presenting technical details to a variety of parties (Eng, Product, Senior Leadership) as well as providing mentorship, direction, and emphasis on best practices to the rest of the development organization.
Your role in our future
- Own, design and develop scalable software systems for the iForms platform and the integration of iForms into the larger Quadient software platform.
- Lead the technical direction and implementation of projects and specific domains, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards within the team and across Quadient software teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to our development teams ensuring that you lead by example and provide opportunities for team development and growth.
- Ensure the use of best practices in coding, design, and architecture.
- Optimize and enhance application performance, security, and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the iForms platform remains innovative and competitive.
- Document design decisions, system designs, and technical specifications.
Your profile
- 8-10 years experience in software development designing and creating web applications.
- Proven experience as a Staff Software Engineer or similar role.
- Experience with frameworks like Angular and Vue and runtime environments like Node.js.
- Extensive experience with cloud-based technologies, particularly Kubernetes, AWS/EKS.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to diagnose software and team operational issues and work with the leadership team to implement process improvements.
- A willingness to participate at a leadership level to improve the iForms and larger Quadient development practices and software platform.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with both back-end and front-end development is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
