As the Global Clinical Product Manager/Product Owner (Cardiology & POCUS), you play a central role in the development of solution and component level requirements for Cardiology & POCUS Enterprise Imaging markets. As part of the cardiology solution product team, you are expected to decompose market problems and customer feature requests into product requirements and work closely with the R&D team to deliver solutions to solve these customer needs and deliver a market leading solution. In addition the product owner shall validate end-user and workflow solution level requirements throughout development, beta, and field-testing phases. Your responsibilities include engaging and managing focus groups of relevant personas, providing timely and accurate feedback to program Cardiology Solution Product Managers and R&D teams. Working closely with R&D teams and the Cardiology Solution Product Manager, you ensure the alignment of product development strategies with the needs of the Cardiology and Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) specialties. This pivotal role facilitates seamless access to patient imaging data for all users across global healthcare institutions, including clinicians, physicians, technicians, nurses, and administrative staff.

Agfa has invested heavily and led ground-up innovation to develop a new state-of-the-art Enterprise Imaging Platform that offers multi-disciplinary (Including Radiology, Cardiology, Pathology, Dermatology, etc.) workflow, imaging solutions and collaboration tools for all users in healthcare IT environment including clinicians, physicians, technicians, nurses, Clinical and IT administration staff at healthcare institutions.

An individual in this role will steer Agfa’s Enterprise Imaging solution development by formulating and managing customer requirements towards new and innovative solutions to meet user needs in the healthcare setting in the global market. An individual in this role will focus on product and customer success across the global regions working closely within the global product management function as well as across functional boundaries for product management tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and prioritize product requirements and use cases (Initiatives and Epics), emphasizing cardiology and POCUS medical imaging workflows.
  • Gather input from regional and global solutions teams to enhance solutions based on customer and market needs.
  • Contribute to, drive, and execute the product vision and roadmap, aligning with solution and business roadmaps, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Act as a liaison and source of cardiology and POCUS product knowledge for various organizational teams, including sales, services, and R&D.
  • Utilize industry Cardiology and POCUS intelligence to inform product, business, and competitive strategies.
  • Evaluate product performance in the field, driving necessary changes to optimize products and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and prioritize requirements and acceptance criteria, determining the optimal release schedule.
  • Transfer knowledge to cross-functional teams on buyers, users, use cases, and market dynamics to ensure customer needs are represented in the development process.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts by delivering special customer demonstrations and participating in events such as trade shows, regional user group mtgs and congresses.
  • Collaborate with international product development teams located worldwide (Gent, Mortsel, Shanghai, Vienna, Waterloo).
  • Embrace agile methodology and scrum structure, facilitating customer collaboration to improve feedback and time-to-market processes.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a Clinical, IT, or Business Advanced area or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters Degree Preferred
  • Have at least 5 years of hands-on clinical expertise in performing cardiology non-invasive and invasive procedures including adult and pediatric echo, Vascular (Invasive and Non-Invasive) along with an understanding of structured reporting needs and requirements within a large healthcare organization.
  • Possess at least 5 years of experience in healthcare Product Management, Project Management, or Product Marketing.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of product management best practices and work experience in an Agile development framework.
  • Strong understanding of UX research and design processes.
  • Expertise in medical informatics protocols and standards such as DICOM, HL7, FHIR, and IHE integration frameworks for medical devices and electronic medical record systems is an asset.
  • Be IT-minded, with extended experience and knowledge of modality workstations, preferably including experience with HealthCare IT applications such as RIS or PACS.
  • Have experience in training and collaborating with physicians, clinicians, nursing staff, and IT administration staff in a hospital or clinical care setting.
  • Exhibit the ability to work effectively in a complex and international organization.
  • Be a team player with the capability to work independently.
  • Be willing to travel up to 30%, including international travel.
