About the Role
The Director of Operations, Alumni Relations, provides strategic leadership for SFU’s Alumni Relations, driving global alumni engagement and program sustainability. This role establishes the operational framework, overseeing systems development, program infrastructure, data management and fiscal oversight to strengthen SFU’s goals, brand and reputational excellence, as well as alumni connections. This role leads strategic planning, resource allocation, budgeting, staffing, and system enhancements to optimize program delivery and generate revenue aligned with SFU’s engagement objectives. As part of the Advancement and Alumni Engagement senior leadership, this role builds collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and acts as the primary liaison for cross-functional coordination to align alumni engagement efforts. Additionally, this position ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, implementing risk management strategies to protect alumni and institutional interests while fostering a culture of integrity.
