Senior Principal Software Developer - Autodesk Graphics Platform


The Autodesk Graphics Platform (AGP) Team is looking for a Senior Principal Software Developer to join their team. You will be working on AGP - a shared graphics system used by various Autodesk applications such as Fusion, Revit, Inventor, 3ds Max, and Maya.


  • Undertake the modernization of Graphics components for Autodesk applications
  • Collaborate with industry organizations like Khronos and ASWF to shape and adopt Open Standards and Open Source
  • Develop USD-Based Graphics Pipeline for Web, Mobile, and Desktop
  • Report to Senior Engineering Manager, Graphics

Responsibilities:


  • Architect and design the next-generation desktop graphics platform
  • Work with Autodesk Product Team to understand their needs and promote Autodesk Graphics Platform
  • Collaborate with external partners in the graphics domain to stay updated on the latest developments
  • Help the engineering team deliver value using agile methodologies

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of experience in architecting and designing graphics frameworks
  • Experience with modern Graphics APIs and shader languages
  • Advanced C++ optimization/debugging skills
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns and Object-Oriented development
  • Experience with Linux and Metal development is a plus
  • Knowledge of build and deployment technologies such as Jenkins, CMake, Docker containers, and Python
