Reporting to the Product and Process Engineer the Process Technician is responsible to perform product and process studies following the Jamieson R&D Principles and Practices Guidance Manual or studies as assigned. In this capacity, the Process Technician will be required to operate, maintain and clean all R&D resource tools and equipment in a safe and orderly fashion with an ultimate goal of improving current and developing future Jamieson products.Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties Prepare R&D prototypes, pilot batches and perform R&D studies as assignedPhysical testing and evaluation of R&D products as requiredMaintain accurate and detailed records of R & D product development projectsOperate and obtain data/results from R&D equipment and instruments including but not limited to: tablet presses, blenders, coaters, hardness, friability, particle size and flow testing equipmentEvaluate chemical and physical properties of new raw materials and make recommendations for approvalWorking in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities ProcedureWill comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd.
