CARAS’ mandate is comprised of four key pillars: Educate through our music education charity MusiCounts’ programs and initiatives, Develop emerging artists through mentorship and development programs, Celebrate Canadian artists through The JUNO Awards and other year-round initiatives, and Honour music industry icons through the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with CARAS and the JUNO Awards, believes all youth should have access to the life-changing benefits of music and music education. We work to make music education accessible, sustainable, and inclusive for kids who need it most. We achieve this by allocating instruments, equipment, and resources to schools across Canada that are under-resourced, geographically isolated, or struggling to meet the diverse needs of their students.OVERALL POSITIONThe Senior Coordinator, Partnerships role is a multi-faceted position supporting the CARAS Partnerships department encompassing sponsorship sales, account and relationship management, cross-departmental administration and execution, tracking and overseeing the fulfilment of partnership deliverables.RESPONSIBILITIES● Support the 365 objectives of the CARAS Partnerships department to drive partner revenue and success● Prospect, target new potential partnerships, develop and deliver pitches● Own brand partner relationships for existing brand sponsor accounts, building strong relationships with stakeholders and working with internal departments to execute year-round deliverables and campaigns. Upsell new opportunities to these existing partners.● Create, write and and build comprehensive sales proposals to prospective brand partners including presentations, pitch documents, partnership outlines leveraging CARAS’ internal asset mix● Provide administrative support including but not limited to: taking detailed minutes on prospect/partner/stakeholder conversations, managing a cold sales pipeline, asset approvals, inventory tracking, contract administration/invoicing, deliverable tracking and other general partnerships documentation.● Collaborate with internal cross-functional departments to ensure alignment and delivery of partner obligations during key CARAS milestones (i.e. Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class, The JUNO Awards, The Canadian Music Hall of Fame Ceremony)● Participate and lead client meetings and status calls, collecting minutes/notes and disseminating internally as required● Create post-event fulfillment reports for partners highlighting key deliverablesEXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED● 2 years of account management and/or sales experience (experience in both considered an asset)● Detail-oriented with the ability to pinpoint a mistake before it becomes a problem● Superb organizational skills with a track record of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously● Excellent oral and written communication skills (sales writing experience an asset)● Interested in music and culture and how brands are activating in sponsorship● Personable, likeable and a strong team player● Ability to manage high-pressure situations and creative problem solver● Autonomous, self-driven, entrepreneurial● Client-focused with excellent customer service skills● A University degree/college diploma or equivalent experience● Experience working in events considered an asset● Experience with G-Suite, MS Office,CRM/Project Management software, presentation software, Canva, Chat GPT4 / Cohere Coral, Wrike an assetBENEFITS OF WORKING AT CARAS/MUSICOUNTS● Flexible working location/hybrid model● 2 weeks vacation● Extended group benefits● Reduced Summer hours● Social, music and cultural activities● Positive & supportive culture● Paid December holiday break (in addition to paid vacation)PLEASE EMAIL A PDF COPY OF YOUR RESUME AND COVER LETTER TO:Neil Maclellan – neil@thetalentcode.caSUBJECT LINE: Application – CARAS – Senior Coordinator, PartnershipsDeadline for resume submission – August 30, 2024We want to thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for interviews will be contacted.CARAS embraces the diversity of all people, including those with disabilities, and aims to maintain an inclusive and equitable workplace where employees feel valued, respected, and supported.
