Commissionaires appoints first female CEO of a Division

S olidifying its history of giving women opportunities and roles at all levels, Commissionaires appointed its first woman CEO of a Commissionaires Division this month.
Monique Goffinet Miller, an RCMP spouse, was appointed as CEO of Commissionaires South Saskatchewan Division on July 12. She succeeds LCol. (Ret’d) Colin King.
In 1952, Commissionaires welcomed its first female, LCol. Mary Dover, as a member of a Commissionaires Board. Twenty years later, Audrey Morton became the first woman commissionaire on June 30, 1972.
“Monique is an inspiring and visionary leader – I’m thrilled to welcome her to this critical position,” said Mark Watson, Chief of Staff. “As a mother, RCMP spouse and entrepreneur, her ideals of caring for employees, partners and clients, and giving back to the community will make a big difference.”

Since then, women have served at all levels, from security guards, supervisors, trainers, finance officers, directors, and governors.

A Visionary LeaderMiller comes into her role with a great deal of experience in leadership, tourism, and government. She has previously worked as CEO at Saskatchewan’s Provincial Capital Commission, worked at both SK and BC Government Houses and the BC Legislature.
Commissionaires’ first female CEO also has experience in public relations, television, and radio broadcasting.
Monique Goffinet Miller is Appointed CEO of Commissionaires South Saskatchewan Division.Other notable roles she has worked or served in include:
- South Saskatchewan Division Board Governor since 2018
- Executive Director since February 2022
- Canadian Capital Cities Organization Treasurer
- Member of the Saskatchewan Committee of the Last Post Fund
- Royal United Services Institute Board member.
She earned the Diamond Jubilee Medal after serving as the Monarchist League of Canada’s Victoria branch Chair from 2011 to 2016.
