KLF is looking for a right hand to the COO/Managing Director: an individual that is versatile and well-rounded on all fronts and particularly strong on the Vendor relations / Supplier management front. The selected candidate will eventually be involved in all aspects of the business, including supporting the team in the client account planning cycle and s, ensuring that operations are continuously improved to address client needs and expectations. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

Procurement/Vendor Management/Catalog Management/Pricing Strategy 


  • Ensure that we maintain the best catalog in the Canadian market 
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the brands and products that KLF Group represents 
  • Update current catalog curation – add product pricing, add products, replace products 
  • Add new brands relevant for this market and attend products shows 
  • Ensure that catalog meet the needs of the market  
  • Ensure efficient buying and increase inventory turnover 
  • Analyze and optimize the sourcing strategy to increase stock availability per season and decrease the cost of inventory and associated expenses. 
  • Proactively notify customers and sales team of discontinued items as well as substitute information  
  • Manage, maintain and develop vendor relations  
  • Ensure that we maximize discounts we get (negotiate), get volume rebates, early pay discounts, etc… 
  • Ensure that our pricing is right – competitive in the market but protects margins for the company  


Operations 

 

  • Lead the logistics department to ensure efficiency in sourcing, purchasing, warehousing and shipping. 
  • Ensure that our operations are continuously streamlined and that communication flows across departments 
  • Understand the ins and out of our proprietary ERP – work with IT to bring improvements as required – assist in prioritizing 
  • Involved in analyzing and implementing WMS and ERP software advancements 
  • Build and monitor operational and administrative KPI's 


 

Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline 
  • 7+ years in relevant business experience (less than 15 years) 
  • Experience in engaging vendors / suppliers, negotiating, selling 
  • Strong business acumen and a natural passion for consumer products 
  • Excellent client facing skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve issues 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and in French 
  • Highly accountable  
  • Enthusiastic and result driven with the capacity to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Problem-solving oriented, resourceful, and autonomous
