Chief People Officer

The Company is seeking a Chief People Officer and Vice President to provide strategic leadership in the areas of human resources and employee wellness. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR and employee wellness, including labor relations, collective bargaining, policy development, and ensuring the well-being, health, and safety of employees. This role is pivotal in driving the organization's strategic initiatives and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment that supports equity, diversity, and reconciliation efforts. The CPO will work closely with executive leadership to align HR and employee wellness strategies with the company's goals and will be accountable for the effectiveness of these functions.
Applicants for the Chief People Officer and Vice President position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, and hold a Master's degree in a related field. A CPHR designation is preferred, and experience in the continuing care and non-profit sectors is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record in strategic thinking, planning, and change management. They must be adaptable, possess excellent communication skills, and be adept at building and maintaining positive relationships. The role requires a strong focus on problem-solving, sound judgment, and the ability to influence and impact the organization positively.
