Summary/Objective

The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, managing monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, and owning the accounting for Revenue.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

  • Review transactions setup for revenue recognition and billing.
  • Manage billing and all customer related tasks and inquiries.
  • Responsible for contract analysis and revenue recognition memos.
  • Review sales arrangements to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and accounting standards.
  • Manage revenue and deferred revenue analysis.
  • Manage quarterly review and annual audit related to revenue and billing.
  • Participate in SOX testing as needed.
  • Assist with all revenue related areas of SEC reporting.
  • Support FP&A by providing revenue/billing analysis and reports as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
  • Manage revenue allocation for multi-element arrangements.
  • Manage month-end close activities and account reconciliations.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will manage revenue/billing operation with 2 direct reports.

Education and Experience

  • 4-5 years of revenue and billing experience in the software industry.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition standards, including ASC 606.
  • Team player with good communication and customer support skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Self-starter with ability to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Works well under pressure and managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong MS Excel skills, and experience with NetSuite.
  • Good understanding of financial statements and strong account reconciliation skills.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • Takes ownership and drives projects to completion with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Physical Demands

This role requires sitting or standing at a computer workstation for extended periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

No travel is required for this position.
