SR SAP BTP Architect with ABAP experience to support a oil and gas client

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP-based solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Leverage New Age Business Technology Platform (BTP) development services to innovate and modernize SAP solutions.
- Provide comprehensive oversight for client’s cloud initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
- Oversee the architecture, implementation, and management of cloud solutions to ensure high performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with SAP and other strategic partners for seamless integration and operation of cloud services.
- Serve as the primary contact for cloud-related discussions and negotiations with external partners.
- Conduct thorough architectural reviews of cloud solutions to meet Suncor’s technical and business requirements.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for optimizing cloud architectures.
- Monitor day-to-day cloud workloads for optimal performance and resource utilization.
- Support team members with guidance, troubleshooting, and workload management.
- Manage and support high-priority (P1/P2) cloud incidents to ensure timely resolution and minimal business impact.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to address and resolve cloud-related incidents.

- SAP BTP Architecture
- SAP ABAP Developer
- Data Sphere experience
- Managing Stakeholder Experience
Nice-to-Haves:
- Clean Core
- Based in Calgary and Oil and Gas experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools, such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
- SAP certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
